Beacon Foods

You may not have heard of Beacon Foods but if you’ve ever driven along the A470 past Brecon then you’re sure to have smelt them.

Beacon Foods is family owned and is based at the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. They make our delicious ready meals as well tonnes of ingredients that go into sauces, soups and dips, they use a lot of garlic so next time your driving past Brecon have a sniff!!

If you’ve ever tried our Cauliflower Cheese or Leek and Potato Gratin you’d know what a fantastic job Beacon do (they’re really delicious). They take our freshly picked cauliflowers and leeks and add Cadog cheese, milk and butter, sounds easy doesn’t it? But unlike many other ready meals , Really Welsh Ready Meals are made fresh nearly every day and the cheese sauce isn’t made from powder, it’s all fresh which also means that no further processing or pasteurisation takes place after cooking. So really it’s just as you would make at home (but with Beacon Foods doing all the hard work for you).

Beacon Foods Interesting Fact: All the veg waste at Beacon Foods goes to local farmers who love it for composting. Waste from the water treatment plant is known as rocket fuel as it’s simply the Rolls Royce of liquid fertilisers.
