Really Welsh Daffodils

Things don’t really get much more Welsh than a Daffodil. Brought to us by the Romans, but missing from Wales for far too long (in any great numbers), Daffodils are now firmly back in a big way in Wales, particularly in Glamorgan, from Bridgend to Kenfig… our 20+ stunning varieties planted in sequence (to make sure you can enjoy them for as much of the year as possible) oh, and we never ever use anything but the purest yellow bulbs, no orange trumpets or white petals here – So, if you ever see any orange, or even a hint of it, in any other daff, you know it’s not Really Welsh.

Our Really Welsh Daffodils first saw the glorious light of day in 2005, after we’d dedicated 25 acres of ultra daff-happy soil to them. Nowadays there are 125 acres all with shiny yellow Really Welsh Daffodils popping out of them from January right through until the end of Spring. And to save you doing the maths, that works out as over 1 million bunches per year brightening up people’s lives.

We want to make Wales self sufficient in Daffodils again and, even if it is a long journey, we’re getting there, and you can help, just pick up some Really Welsh Daffodil bulbs each autumn, plant them, and hey presto – more of Wales reclaimed!
