The sun shines in Wales most the time, so spare a thought for our wonderful Really Welsh Daffodils, because deep underground, they miss much of the action only to get hauled up in the Autumn, and delivered to shops and garden centres right across the country.

It might not look pretty (it might not look like anything at all) but those bulbs are having a great time in our wonderful soil, soaking up all the goodness from the ground, ready to release 100% yellow daffodils once Christmas is over, and the nights start to draw out.

The fact is that before we started planting daffodils like mad in 2005, you’d have had to go to somewhere non-Welsh, like England or even Holland, to get your daffodil bulbs, so we thought you’d like a Really Welsh alternative, and it seems we were dead right.

Our yellower than yellow beauties have gone down a storm and you can get your hands on them in most the stores that sold the flowers in the spring, plus loads of other places like museums, and even castles right across our wonderful country.
