Who we are

Set up by Colin Bailey, an Englishman with Welsh blood only a few generations back, Really Welsh is all about great Welsh products available right across Wales, and who knows if the rest of the UK see how great they are, they maybe across England, Scotland and Ireland too.

We planted our first Cauliflower in 2004, became “Really Welsh” in 2005, started putting our brand on Daffodils Leeks & Cauliflowers in 2006, launched Really Welsh bulbs in 2007, Really Welsh Ready Meals and Chillies in 2008, and now Ice Cream, Welsh Black Beef burgers and Duffydil all in 2009 - so you could say we’ve been really busy.

Who we are

  • Farmers & producers passionate about nurturing the best possible Welsh food (& daffodils).
  • Suppliers of fresh, high-quality produce — all from Wales.
  • Fans of the fertile Welsh soil, which lets all our produce stand out from the rest.

Who we are not

  • The sort of people who accept produce that isn’t grown to the highest possible standard.
  • Rugby players, (sadly) which contrary to popular belief not all Welsh people are. We like watching it, mind.
  • Miners. Or Minors. Our work is on the land, not under it, & we’re all old enough to do it and have even got the licences to prove it.

Who else

As well as the farm team of Andy, Nick in South Wales & Charlie in the North; Richard and Chris look after the office, the shows and work on bringing great new Really Welsh ideas to the team. Then there’s Edward & Robert at Beacon Foods – they cook up the ready meals and in the heart of West Wales The Bowman family make our ice cream on their farm.

What we do

Really Welsh started by filling the gaps in on Welsh shelves, by growing leeks in Wales to replace the less lovely looking English ones, and by producing cut daffodil flowers in Spring, and daffodil bulbs in autumn so that our National emblem could flower again in our soil, rather than get driven from Cornwall. But now its much more than just great crops, and we aim to add news lines all the time. Find out more

Really Welsh Welsh Black Beef Burgers

Would you believe that until recently you could not buy any Welsh meat in any freezer in any supermarket? But now we've changed things and have created totally delicious Welsh Black Beef Burgers

Really Welsh Reusable Hessian Bags

With the news that our government here in Wales is seriously considering banning, or taxing plastic carrier bags, it might be a good time for us to gloat about our fantastic Really Welsh “Hessian” bags…..

Really Welsh Ice Cream

Here at Really Welsh we've turned our hands (and taste buds) to Ice Cream and with the help of the Bowman family from Whitland we've created some of the most delicious flavours including Swirley Bassey and Merlyn

Really Welsh Daffodils

The Welsh sun is so yellow it turns all our daffodils the same stunning bright colour – it's why we love them so much, and for their great smell. All you need to know on what makes Really Welsh Daffodils so special.

Really Welsh Daffodil Bulbs

Don’t put an electric current through these bulbs, make them shine instead by digging them some nice snug holes in the garden. Every spring they’ll pop up, say hello, and light up everything around them.

Really Welsh Leeks

Okay, most people don’t think leeks look beautiful. They’re much maligned, the poor things. So, we’re on a mission to make them plumper, juicier and sexier than ever. Just imagine!

Really Welsh Ready Meals

We’ve not met anyone yet that doesn’t really love a good Cauliflower cheese, so now we've had a bash at making our own, to find out we've got on, and where you can find this award winning culinary master piece.

Where we do it

Really Welsh believes in sourcing great produce from wherever they are best grown or produced, so our business is spread right across Wales to make the best of all of our wonderful land… then as we add more products, we'll add them to our map too.

Who we do it with

To start it was all Andy, Andy, Andy, but now we've a host of growers, producers and even a small backroom team to introduce you too, want to find out more, click the muddy Landrover.
