Really Welsh St Davids Day Food Festival 2009 - A huge hit with the public

This years Really Welsh Food Festival again proved to be a resounding hit with the public as record numbers visited us on Queen Street from Thursday 26th - Saturday 28th. We were joined by over 15 different producers from all over Wales who came together to showcase their produce to the public to sample and take home.

Over the three days we sampled and sold Welsh Black Beef burgers, lamb burgers, our award winning Ready Meals, our new range of Ice Cream (including a special edition Leek flavour to mark the occasion and for those brave enough to taste it) and our Daffodils which flew off the shelves in time for St David's Day.

Carwen and Dilys the Really Welsh mascots were there to meet and greet visitors and were joined by Bruiser from the Cardiff Blues and Cadog's Blodwyn the cow. We had entertainment on Saturday from Boycezone who as ever put in a great performance to raise money for charity and entertain the crowds on Queen Street.

Players from Glamorgan Cricket and Cardiff Blues joined in the fun on Friday by posing for photos and sampling some of the great Welsh produce on offer.
