All this rain is causing us a lot of bother

Nick, Andy and the harvesting teams in South Wales are struggling. It’s the rain, combined with the drop in temperatures, and our cauliflowers down here in the South are struggling to grow, and they simply aren’t  making the normal Really Welsh size of Cauli….so, rather than send in small cauliflowers to stores, we’ve had to bring in some Really Welsh sized Cauliflowers in from over the boarder, to make sure that the shelves don’t run out of proper sized cauliflowers.

We could sell you caulis that are too small – but then they’d never get the chance to grow and become Really Welsh sizes….. or we could supply nothing, but that wouldn’t be fair either…..

We do hope you understand our issue? We hate letting the supply down as we grow cauliflowers in Wales 52 weeks of the year – but occasionally Mother Nature does make it a little tricky for us, and I’m afraid this is one of those weeks.
Really Welsh Cauli will be back very soon, lets just all hope for a dry spell soon..

Thanks for understanding

if you want to know more about our contingency plans, why not drop us a line, or send an email…..
