The Royal Welsh Show 2010
19 July 2010
It's almost time for the team to head to Llanelwedd for the biggest and busiest show of the year. It's an exciting time for many reasons and not just because Carwen and Chris get to blow off the cobwebs and escape the office into the mid-Wales sunshine. We will have the first of the years daffodil bulbs available as Nick and his team have been busy harvesting bulbs in the South Wales sunshine. Charlie and his leek team in the North have equally been hard at work making sure we will be able to take stock of the first leeks of the new season, always an event to put a smile on Carwens face and a guaranteed hit with show-goers across the four days - so get them while you can.
This year will see the opening of the new food hall at the showground and Really Welsh will be there along with over 50 other producers from across the country, anticipating a good spell of weather we will be on hand with our fab four Ice Creams and some new products in the form of Really Welsh cheese and butter. Equally exciting down at our shop under the grandstand, as well as offering our award winning ready meals, ice creams, daffodil bulbs and leeks we will be playing host to some friends of ours including Oddgods who offer a range of unique rugby and cricket merchandise. Jon at Oddgods has a surprise for Carwen as he has kindly captured Carwen in the original Oddgods style ready for summer.
If any of this sounds tempting to you, then why not come along and see us. We'll be at our shop under the grandstand and in the new food hall for the whole four days (19th - 22nd July), and if you can't make it to say hello, fear not! - we will be tweeting, posting, tagging and photographing all the action across the four days. If you've not already, you can follow us on twitter - @reallywelsh or become a fan on facebook.
Look out Llanelwedd - here we come!
